Who we are
Baidu Downloader (“we”) converts a Baidu Pan share link into temporary download URLs. The public website is this WordPress site. File transfer is handled by our API and storage providers.
Controller: edit this page with your legal name, postal address, and privacy email.
What we process
- Share URL and optional password you submit, to fetch the share.
- Account data if you register (email, password hash, login times) — stored in WordPress.
- Job status (file counts, bytes, errors). We do not keep your Baidu password after the job starts except as needed to complete that job.
- Technical logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for abuse and debugging.
- Files copied to object storage (R2) for up to 7 days. Download links expire after 48 hours.
- Google reCAPTCHA if you are a guest and that check is enabled.
Why (GDPR legal bases)
- Contract — running the download you asked for.
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud, keeping the service up.
- Consent — optional cookies and any analytics you later add.
- Legal obligation — if we must keep records.
Who we share with
- Our API host and CloudDrive2 (to read Baidu after transfer into our SVIP account).
- Cloudflare R2 (or a compatible S3 store) for temporary objects.
- Google, only if reCAPTCHA is on.
- We do not sell your data.
How long
Job files: deleted from object storage after 7 days. Presigned links: 48 hours. WordPress account: until you delete it. Logs: a limited operational window (default up to 90 days on the API).
Your rights (EEA / UK)
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdraw consent. Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Email the address on the Contact page.
Transfers
Baidu, Cloudflare, and Google may process data outside the EEA. We rely on their published transfer tools (SCCs / adequacy) where required.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16.
